With their first studio release Eyelid Movies, Phantogram has created a lush, aural dreamscape of ambient pop that buzzes with electricity and moody undercurrents. Although the band only consists of keyboardist Sarah Barthel and guitarist Josh Carter, who both contribute vocals, the two produce something of a digital orchestra built from sampling, rubbery synths and mellow dance beats.
